2020: Barang dapur & food

Sebab tahun ni special 2020, aku pun nak buat proper analysis on our household spending especially on barang dapur and food..

Dulu aku withdraw cash cukup-cukup saja supaya aku tak terlebih spend. Sekarang aku nak tukar strategy pulak. Withdraw sekali saja untuk sebulan sebab ATM Maybank dah limited. Yang dekat dengan rumah aku dah takda. Aku dah kira dah, I need around RM1k per month untuk beli macam ikan, ayam kat pasar biasa.

What I've learnt from past years to improve my speed and minimize chaos in the kitchen:

  1. Ayam mentah sekor beli brand Ladangku RM18 per pack. Cleaned and chopped in small sizes, this reduces prep time
  2. Chicken parts boleh beli kat supermarket. Contoh kalo nak beli quarter chicken or dada ayam
  3. Dada ayam boleh masak salted egg, butter, goreng kunyit
  4. Hanya beli kalo nak masak menu tu. Tak payah beli sebab 'nanti nak masak...' sebab high probability tak masak in the end. Rugi RM....
  5. Frozen stuff such as frozen fried chicken, kuih, roti canai are good for emergency
  6. Make simple breakfast, no need to cook up a storm
  7. Spend on quality food ya, not quantity

  2. Pasar Aceh Seksyen 4 atau depan rumah aku
  3. Pasar Tani

Menu
Aku pun kena buat theme menu apa aku nak masak untuk 5 hari weekdays tu. Contoh:
  • One pot/wok: Mee/Bihun goreng, hailam, sup
  • Masakan Western
  • Masakan Melayu
  • Masakan Cina

Atau tema bahan:
  • Ayam
  • Seafood
  • Ikan
  • Pasta
  • Nasi
Atau tema cara masak:
  • Bakar
  • Steam
  • Masak biasa
  • Goreng
Dan macam-macam lagi. Yang penting kena plan. Bila dah ada mental picture tu, senang sikit nak execute.
