How's Herbalife

3 people have bought the 2 liter bottles from me. I've sold 1 Teamix 50g. I've gained RM660 because a colleague decided to enroll in the WLC.

To me that's a progress, from nothing to something. I will also giving my parents 1x F1 shake, 1 x Teamix 100g and 2 x bottles of calcium tablets.

I had to spent about 4k+++ in June. It was hard at first but "If you want something you never had, you have to do something you've never done!".... I guess....

I still have a lot to learn. At the moment, I'm going with the flow and provide information as truthful as I can....

New addition in the house (rather outside the house)

My orchid is blooming. Cost RM40......

The white roses is artificial :-) The orchid is real!

Can't wait for Krabi!

I'm nervous but at the same time excited! Is everything checked? Not sure.... I've taken out the big green Delsey suitcase since last week and tried to pack bit by bit.
We're taking the suitcase and dump everything in it. Shall the space is not enough, we'll bring medium sized trolley bag. Hope we'll manage on the way to the airport.

I've changed for the BAHT currency (9,000 = RM940.50). I'm done with my outfits. My mind now is on snacks and entertainment for the kids. Flight is only about 2 hours. Thinking of bringing the following as:

SNACKS
  • grapes
  • pear
  • Chipsmore cookies
  • Nuts

SUPPLIES
  • Maggi
  • Chicken floss buns
  • Burger meat (assembled in Krabi)
Somkiet Buri is a halal hotel so breakfast is not a problem. I'm also not forgetting Herbalife and planning to take the shakes as usual.

I've no idea of what else to bring. I'm leaving the office at 5pm and straight to Pasar Tani to get the fruits. Plus thinking of buying tribal Syria tudung if I can find the pattern that I like.

Other than that, I'm all set!

Prep for Krabi

It's 24th June already, 6 days to Krabi!...

Something came up... My dear aunty who's been alone too long is now getting married! Alhamdulillah! Her reception is on 29th, 1 day before we fly to Krabi. After discussing with hubby, we decided to attend her reception but only with the boys. The girls will be staying home for BeeZ with bibik and do their last minute packing....

As such, me being the 'planner' and loves to plan, have started packing last weekend! I'm so looking forward for this break. Apart from fulfilling the wish of my kids and myself, I've lost weight so I'm so excited to dress up for the occasion. Though, I tell myself not to get too excited and bring unnecessary stuff because always, always you don't get to wear all of them!

The packing list for this trip:
  1. Beach toys/swimsuits/goggle/sunblock
  2. Lutfi's towel robe
  3. Tuppewares/cups/washing liquid/sponge
  4. Laundry detergent/brush
  5. Some snacks/food (Maggi, Iced Milo, biscuits)
  6. Slippers
  7. Camera/Ipad + charger
Still thinking about my outfits. Ones that I've finalized:

Travelling day (to Krabi)
Blue jeans + green inner + white shirt + green tudung + Le Pliage shopper in chocolate + mustard ballerina
White T and JeansCute Tapsee in White Shirt & Blue Jeans

Walk in Krabi (find food & shopping)
Navy blouse + flare brown skirt + turquoise selendang + office's slippers in white
Long Skirt with Thong Sandals
headband scarf

Beach activities
Swimming gear with turquoise accent for pool. For snorkeling, I will wear old T-shirt.

I still need another outfit. I'm thinking of buying either a dress, blouse or a skirt in Krabi itself and pair with either a khaki trousers or jeans. The option is still open but I want to get a denim jacket which is versatile enough to be worn with the options.

Off-Shoulder Scale BlouseAminah Chiffon Top

So my outfit list for 4 days:

Top: 1 blouse + 1 white shirt + 2 inners
Tudung: 2 proper tudungs + 1 selendang
Bottom: 1 jeans + 1 skirt + 1 trousers

I'm enjoying this and I just can't wait!

1st day with new bag_Candace Watermelon

I decided to use my Candace Carryall in watermelon at work.

As everyone else, I was excited to receive the parcel from PVS. Like other bloggers, I took pictures when unveiling the item. I think it's a good idea because whenever I feel low, I can read back my blog and cherish the happy memories (such as this!). It might help me to recover and pull me out of misery quicker. And shows my life is not that bad.... it is just normal that life has its ups and downs.

My first impression was "Wow! Red!...Bright red!...Pink!....Ouch! Hurt my eyes!......."
Funny, and I thought I've made the wrong choice! Then I said 'It can't be, I saw at Coach boutique and I was ok with the colour'....
The parcel unopened

PVS is quite proper with the packaging. Nice touch with the ribbon!

Tadaa!
I couldn't imagine bringing it to the office. It is definitely bright, and this is my first bright coloured bag. Maybe that's why I thought it was too bright at first.  But I love everything about the bag, perfect for my needs.

Since it's leather, I have to do routine maintenance to it and I haven't prepared the maintenance kit yet. It's funny when I remember back the thought process about this bag. I even planned to see whether I have enough matching outfits to go with this bag. Luckily I'm covered throughout this week.....
The logo.

The colour of tassle is described as 'snow'

The price tag. Apparently PVS bought this from Bloomingdales
I was still with my old bag on Monday. It so happen that not so many people are around this week. Then I said to myself 'Why not I try the bag this week?' Eventually I do have to start wearing it one day, so this week is the perfect week!'

And so I braved myself today, the previous-all-black-bag girl to carry the bright red bag to work!
Paired with matching inner, turquoise and black.
Black goes with everything, anyway. Not bad, eh!

The bag with my lunch and water totes
My stuff. From now on, I want to practice not bringing folders home ;-)

Alhamdulillah, finally I'm grown enough to bring bright colour bag to work. Bye, bye old bag!
Bye, Bye Old Bag!

Welcome Watermelon!

Hope I'll be able to maintain you :-)

My Work Bag

After receiving my new bags from PVS and hubby, it's time for me to depart with my current bag. From these two bags, I can say I'm the structured-bag-kind of girl when it comes to bag for work.
The bag since 2006. PVC + cloth material. I bought it at ASDA in the UK so it was cheap.

Good size & practical
When I was in the UK, I think I had used another bag briefly before switching to this bag. I can say I used this bag for 3 + 5 = 8 years. 3 in the UK and 5 here. The bag is still in good condition and I didn't have the heart to throw/give it away because I have good memories with it. But it was time for me to switch to a new bag, I think. I needed to revive myself now that I'm already in end of 30's.

Then I bought this bag during Parkson sale at the end of my maternity leave in Nov 2011 at RM80. Actual price was RM266 and it was at 70% off. I chose black although  I thought cream was nice. This is my current bag so I've been using it for 1 year and 7 months (Nov 2011 - current).

Slightly bigger than previous and has more detailing.
Has dividers which definitely this bag is for work bag
Talking about quality, to me this bag does not represent a RM2++ bag. Despite I've only used about 1.5 years, the bag has lost its shape and can't even stand. One side of the handles also is breaking apart from the body and it's obvious, ok. The handles also is breaking apart at the shoulder, maybe can't withstand the weight of my stuffs. Then I know it was time for me to get a new bag....

Tear on the joint between handle and body of bag.
This was also during the handbag craze at the office and people around me all have new bags... except me. I wanted to get new bag too but I was really tight on the budget. I hardly had leftovers because I had to pay off my credit card (not because of overspending but because I let someone used my credit card for RM2k as he promised to pay me back but he didn't). When I saw people changing handbags, my thought was 'Wahhhh, banyaknye duit dioghang...' compared to myself. Then Alhamdulillah I managed to settle my credit card and my company had a salary revision end of 2012 at the same time.

Thank you again Allah, for giving me this rezeki to own a few new handbags. Still contemplating which one should I use first. 2 of them are leather bags so I'm quite anxious to use them because I'm terrible at maintaining bags.
1 is bright pink so I kinda worry the attention I might receive (perasan ;-0).
1 is dark blue but a bit small thus I can't carry the folders that I've been working on.
1 is Shopping Le Pliage_small in chocolate which I'm supposed to give to my MIL (but I declared as my bag because I love the color! Ish!)

I dunno....

More handbags!

I'm so excited! I'll be getting new handbags by next week! Yeay!

My order at PVS has arrived in M'sia from the US yesterday: Coach Candace Carryall in watermelon
I asked my husband to buy a few Longchamp since he's travelling to Europe and will be back this Saturday: Le Pliage small shopping tote, coin purse and Le Pliage Cuir + 2 Le Pliage for my mom and MIL
I asked a colleague to buy me a leather bag/hobo in black who will be going to Milan tomorrow

Alhamdulillah, suddenly everything comes in one shot!

Now I'm worried on how to care for the leather bags and where to properly keep them.
I guess I'll rest a while from buying handbags and start to collect clothes or shoes.

Yeay! I'm super excited! Thank you Allah!

1st "Shake Party"

Exactly a week ago on 30 May 2013, I managed to get  3 colleagues to come and sample F1 shake with the help of Musab. 2 of them have consumed Herbalife before. Although they lost some weight, they didn't like the taste of F1 (powdery, taste like milk, yuckie basically).

Musab asked me to bring F1 and juices to blend the F1 with so I bought soya, mango juice and orange juice. He brought scale, blender, paper cups and other promotion leaflets. I told 6 people and 3 turned up so that's 50% turn up. I think that's normal and not too bad for a 1st timer like me.

Musab did most of the talking. He's the expert and I'm still learning. I let them to have 1 to 1 conversation to make my colleagues feel comfortable and provide some privacy. I admit it takes courage to tell people about one's weight problem.

And good news, out of 3 attended, 1 signed up for Weight Loss Challenge yesterday (33%). So my role as a true consultant begins. What I will do:

Right after registration:
  1. Congratulate and ask how frequent she wants me to do the follow up
  2. See her in person and discuss action plans
  3. Ask her to set long term targets
  4. Visualize her goal e.g. pics of slim people, whatever that motivates her
  5. Google the word 'HEALTHY' and look at images
 Support
My method of monitoring includes:
  1. Daily food intake records
  2. Call and ask how she is doing (frequency based on her preference)
  3. Weigh in weekly
  4. Reminders, motivational quotes to ensure she doesn't lose focus and able to overcome challenges

I pray that she will achieve what she wants. I want to make whatever she has spent and her willingness to trust us worthwhile. I pray she will lose her weight, stick to new eating habit and able to manage her weight on her own.

Although some might say I'm in and excited about this because I have personal monetary agenda, that point is not applicable here. I'm just excited to see my progress, from personal consumption and manage to lose weight to able to spread the lesson learnt based from my experience. This has all the elements that I'm interested in:

  • Weight management
  • Good eating habits and active lifestyle
  • Goals and motivation
  • Make people believe in themselves and achieve results
  • Extra income (although I'm still far from this!)
All the best to her!
