Previously I aimed for VSS. However, after understanding the process and why it is done specifically, I don't think I will be able to quit with VSS.
- Usually they offer the scheme for staff age 50 and above, means I have 3 more years to go (if I can stand that long). We are not sure whether the scheme is available by the time I'm 50.
- If the company do offer VSS, I might not be able to get it because it will take the position box away too.
The worst thing to happen if there is a VSS, my application may not be approved by the management. The only way to leave the company is to resign.
So I really need to start my side hustle and look for part time job.
